About EmailMux
EmailMux is a temporary email service provider. Unlike traditional email services, our service is transient: emails can only be received within a validity period, and users cannot send emails. You can use our temporary email service without registration, meaning no personal information is required. Therefore, your temporary email address is fully anonymous. Your personal information, communication details, IP address, and email address are protected and kept strictly confidential.
Data Collection
EmailMux does not collect any personal data. Like most standard websites, we utilize log files. These logs include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamps, and clickstream data. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movements, and gather broad demographic data. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Do We Use Cookies?
Yes. When users access the website via a browser interface, we use cookies. Cookies are small files transferred to your computer’s hard drive (if permitted by your web browser) that enable websites or service providers to recognize your browser and capture/remember certain information.
We use cookies to track advertisements and retain specific data.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other sites. Google’s advertising cookies enable it and its partners to display ads to users based on their visits to our site and/or other websites.
Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, users can opt out of third-party cookie usage for personalized ads by visiting www.aboutads.info.
We use a third-party to provide monetization technologies for our site. You can review their privacy and cookie policy here.
If you do not opt out of third-party ad services, cookies from other vendors or ad networks may be used to deliver ads, as further explained in the Third-Party Links section.
Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties?
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personally identifiable information to external parties. This excludes trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting business, or serving you, provided they agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when legally required, to enforce our site policies, or to protect our or others' rights, property, or safety. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to third parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
Third-Party Links
This Privacy Policy applies solely to our services. Our platform may contain links to external websites not operated or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or opinions expressed on such sites, nor do we investigate, monitor, or verify their completeness or accuracy. When you navigate from our service to another website, our Privacy Policy no longer applies. Your interactions on any linked site are governed by that site’s own rules and policies. These third parties may use their own cookies or methods to collect information about you.
Third-Party Advertising Companies
We permit third-party companies to display ads and/or collect anonymous information during your interaction with our website. These companies may use non-personally identifiable data (e.g., clickstream details, browser type, time/date, ad topic clicks) to serve ads for goods/services likely to interest you. Cookies or third-party web beacons are typically used to collect this information. To learn more about behavioral advertising or opt out, visit www.networkadvertising.org.
Do We Share Collected Information with Third Parties?
We may share personally identifiable and non-personal information with third parties (e.g., advertisers, contest sponsors, marketing partners, and parties offering products/services we believe may interest you). We may also share this information with current or future affiliates and business partners. In the event of a merger, asset sale, or business reorganization, your information may be transferred to successors.
We engage trusted third-party service providers to perform functions such as hosting, server maintenance, database management, email services, marketing, payment processing, customer service, and order fulfillment. We may share your personal and non-personal information with these parties to enable them to provide services.
We may share log file data (including IP addresses) with third parties (e.g., analytics partners, app developers, ad networks) for analytical purposes. Shared IP addresses may estimate general location, connection speed, access devices, and other technical data. These parties may aggregate ad-related data to provide auditing, research, and reporting for us and our advertisers.
We may also disclose your information to government/law enforcement agencies or private parties if we deem it necessary to: respond to claims/legal processes (including subpoenas), protect our rights or those of third parties, ensure public/individual safety, prevent illegal/unethical activities, or comply with applicable laws, rules, or court orders.
Is Information Collected Through Our Service Secure?
We implement precautions to safeguard your information. Physical, electronic, and managerial procedures are in place to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and ensure proper use of your data. However, no security system is infallible. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where applicable laws impose non-waivable obligations to protect your data, intentional misconduct will be the standard for assessing compliance.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The GDPR is an EU privacy law regulating how companies protect EU residents’ data and enhancing individuals’ control over their personal information. If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), this section explains how and why we collect your data and how we protect it from misuse.
California Privacy Rights
Under California law, residents may request a list of personal information (if any) disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the past year, along with the types of information shared. EmailMux does not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
